President/CEO

Gwendolyn L. Kimbrough, Ph.D.

Seasoned, visionary, and highly committed corporate leader and entrepreneur, with extensive experience in education, social services, and mental health fields. She has proven expertise in developing human behavior support programs and providing therapeutic services for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Equipped with strong ability to manage change, overcome adversity, and guide an organization through the development and execution of a unified vision and mission.

With more than forty years of professional experience in the field of education, social services and mental health at both the National and local levels; Dr. Kimbrough is known as a high-performing operations management executive and entrepreneurial. She is a skilled strategist who transforms strategic plans into workable solutions both as a Corporate Executive and as an Educational and Health Care entrepreneurial. She has developed and managed multi-million-dollar budgets that supported a range of professionals and non-professional workers with diverse skill sets. Her proficiencies have been acquired from the perspective of an employee as well as a business owner.

Chief Financial Officer

Feisal Toor

Feisal Toor has over 20+ years experience in the health and humans services industry, serving both for profit and non-for-profit organizations in the District of Columbia and surrounding jurisdictions.  From small to mid-size not-for-profit and for-profit organizations with annual revenues from $8-12 million to larger provider organizations with $41+ million in annual revenues, Mr. Toor has served in executive positions as Vice President Controller, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He is also expert in working with regional Medicaid developmental disability and behavioral health programs in Maryland and Virginia and has overseen the fiscal administration of Federal and multi-state grant awards for programs such as correctional re-entry, Veteran and family services, serving the homeless populations and getting people out of encampments, into housing and back to work.

He has worked in coordination with the Department of Labor and the Veterans Administration on multiple grant awards in the DC, MD, VA, SC and NC regions.  His knowledge and hard work has enabled organizations to expand by implementing efficiencies and better systems that have accelerated cash flow and stimulated growth. He joins 1Axium as their Chief Financial Officer.

Psychiatrist, Medical Director

Dr. Ikechi C. Nnawuchi

Dr. Ikechi C. Nnawuchi, MD is a psychiatrist with more than 20 years of experience in emergency psychiatry, community mental health, and integrative care. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt, one of the top psychiatric training programs in the country. He began his medical career in pediatrics at Howard University Hospital, where he developed strong skills in child development, early intervention, and neurobehavioral disorders. This combined training now informs his growing work with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. He also completed a fellowship in integrative psychiatry and is known for his holistic, culturally responsive, and family-centered approach to care.

Dr. Nnawuchi has held leadership roles in major behavioral health organizations and is a national speaker, expert witness, and media contributor on issues related to psychiatry and public health. He currently practices in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, with clinical appointments at multiple rehabilitation and outpatient centers throughout the region.

Program Director

Danielle Nelson, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C

Danielle Nelson, LICSW, LCSW-C, is a dual-licensed clinical social worker in Washington, DC, and the state of Maryland. Ms Nelson specializes in providing therapy to adolescents and adults whose lives have been impacted by transitions, trauma, grief, and loss. Mrs. Nelson utilizes cognitive and dialectic behavior therapy interventions while assisiting individuals throughout their stages of change. Moreover, she enjoys working with individuals as they strive to become new versions of themselves and maximize their potential and daily functioning. Mrs. Nelson emjoys embracing obstacles and opportunities for change. She is alos passionate of her work as a trauma-informed practitioner, raising awareness about the impact of trauma, adverse childhood experiences, and the importance of resilience. She is often found helping others with a smile, creating opportunities for coaching and mentorship, and promoting wellness.

Chief Administrative Officer

Patricia Watkins Lattimore

Patricia Watkins Lattimore is the consummate professional, highly skilled in human capital management, organizational development and federal and corporate administrative systems. Lattimore culminated her 38-year Federal career in 2000 as a Presidential appointee, having served 14 years as a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) cadre.  The next 20 years in post retirement, Lattimore allied with New Ventures as a consultant to Fortune 100 companies; Administrator of the Commission for Labor Cooperation, Director of HR for D.C. Public Schools, and as CEO of Delta Research & Educational Foundation from 2014 to 2020.  She devotes significant volunteer time to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, as a National Social Action Commissioner; as a legacy life Board member of the National Council of Negro Women; and to Zion Church, Greenbelt MD.
